Angry sky for an angry day

Reminds me of the storms back home, except there's no mountain behind these clouds, just more darker clouds.

Everything today either pisses me off or brings me down

Work, tech, and personal, all news today has been bad. Need to call some family members tonight to hear their cheerier news (and hope they don’t have worse news to share).

Really, Google? Held my day's blog tweets for a single burst? #FAIL

Must remember to reference "My friend Nicole Scott" @Nicole_Scooter

I like it when people cover my stories and say "My friend Nicole Scott" If I had heard of you or your site it might seem less creepy! lol

Great. I took the hit on the Ctrl-Alt-Del button for nothing.

From Ars Technica: "The enterprise targeting is also apparent; there's a dedicated ctrl-alt-del button, to accommodate the Windows default of requiring the magic keystroke to log on in domain environments."

Great. This is exactly why I avoided mentioning corporate login in my defense of the Ctrl-Alt-Del button on the HP Slate, for which I am now getting bashed. I log in to a corporate server every day. I know why Ctrl-Alt-Del is needed. What I didn't want is for the button, which should be standard on every Tablet PC, to be equated with corporate and enterprise use. Oh well.

Patty actually sleeps like this

Not a mid-motion pose. He is actually sleeping like this with forepaws at side and head on pillow.

Dis freaky spider wanna kill me

Very intimidating. Or it would be if it wasn't so tiny.

Fear or sanity: Those are your only two choices! http://tinyurl.com/2fxtpad

Jon Stewart is holding a "Rally To Restore Sanity" to be countered by Stephen Colbert's "March To Keep Fear Alive”! And they’re being held in DC! Yeah! I am so there.

Fujitsu Lifebook T580: "IT'S MORE THAN A SLATE, IT'S A TABLET PC" http://tinyurl.com/35e7qat

Dug up the preliminary data sheet for this upcoming, “slate-beating,” entry-level Tablet PC from Fujitsu. So glad to see them standing up for the Tablet PC.

New ThinkGeek catalog is standard size

So glad they upsized from the half-page sized catalogs. Makes me nostalgic of my catalog writing days (until I remember how that turned out).

Instinctively figured out how to add page numbers to PDFs

I seem to be highly lucid this morning. Was about to look this up when it just clicked in my head to go to Documents à Header & Footer to add page numbers to PDFs in Acrobat. Brain is linking data like crazy. Could be me getting over my head cold or the Breathe Right strip I wore on my nose last night.

Costco in Fairfax carries Mexican Coca-Cola

Made with sugar for real Coca-Cola flavor, not that corn-flavored junk.

Rover Puck: Up to 4 hours of nonstop Pucking http://tinyurl.com/2w3ak2h

Love the specs on the new Rover Puck mobile hotspot: “Battery: Up to 4 hours of nonstop Pucking”, “SSID: Bust out two Service Set IDs - one for you and one for your Puck buddies.” But as much as I’d enjoy 4 hours of nonstop Pucking, their coverage doesn’t cover me as well as their map thinks.

Apple needs to work on their keywords

Just did a search on “iphone ipod ipad” and came up with no hits to Apple’s main site or store. Pretty weak search engine optimization, Apple.

Grew a couple big tomatoes

Not the first from this crop, but they are the biggest and several more are set to follow.
