Yellow Sharpie not so pointless

From Minda (I think): "Hey Sumocat, I was reading your Rmb post about the yellow sharpie. I use mine to underline words in the books I read. That way it doesn't overly mark up the book I'm reading. Comes in very handy when you have textbooks and need to underline but also want to sell the book back at the end of the year."
Good tip! Thanks!

What's the point of a yellow Sharpie?

I got a variety pack of markers at work. Thus far, I've used them all
except this yellow one. Ink's too light to be seen. Tip's too thin for
highlighting. Seems pointless.

Understand your personal CPU

Fascinating write-up on Unclutterer breaking down three types of information processing. Amazing how kinesthetic/tactile I am considering my broad knack for data absorption. But it's quite spot on considering the ways in which I continually adjust my workflow, not to mention the new routine I'm implementing tomorrow (more on that later).

Personality in handwriting

Ran across this basic breakdown of handwriting analysis today. Seems quite accurate to me and, as an avid ink blogger who pens his ideas by hand, I should know.

Paperwork and pen input

I like this guy's CLEAR ZONE. Reminds me of my boxless inbox system, and he's rocking pen input. Via Lifehacker.

Simple backup shortcut

If you ever have a need to regularly backup single files, like an all-important file tracking sheet, I suggest using a "Send To" shortcut to a designated folder. Real simple way to get some peace of mind.

I like me some turbinado

I'm turning into such a sugar snob. Refined white sugar tastes as
artificial to me as the fake stuff. Now I need raw or nothing.

Now my pen is REALLY broken

Yet the pen tip, eraser, and side button all still work. Guess I can
just super glue it back together.

At least these guys aren't wasting money on office décor.

Contemplating bates numbering

Thinking about rebooting the filing system at work with bates numbering so I can replace sorting hard and soft documents with tracking in a hyperlinked spreadsheet. Just run through a printer for automatic numbering, enter in the spreadsheet, scan to PDF, and add to the end of the filing. Sounds complicated, but it should eliminate my paper filing and, therefore, save time.

Early B-day present

Must get a red bow for Homer. Thanks Susan.

NOT my new monitor

Why does our receptionist merit a way better PC than I do? I do PDF
editing and image manipulation, for Pete's sake.

Tulips and garlic

The tulips I planted in autumn are coming up nicely around the big
tree. I think the garlic I planted alongside them worked in keeping
the squirrels from digging up the bulbs.

Still in line

Almost in the mansion. Seem to be a lot of kids on spring break.

Headed to the mansion

Outdoor tours are fun with GPS.
