Video demo of Pogo Stylus at GBM
The guys at GBM are going all-out with pen input today. Check out their video demo of the Pogo Stylus for the iPhone. That's going on my wish list!
Pandora is outstanding
I never eat up Internet bandwidth at work with streaming music. For one thing, I need that bandwidth to work. But with my iPhone, I can stream music all day, and Pandora is perfect for that since it builds a playlist around a song or artist that I pick, setting the right tone for the work environment. It's fantastic!
Need to set up a Gmail account
Bah. Turns out sending photos over Yahoo won't work for posting on Blogger from the iPhone. Fortunately, there's no such problem with Gmail, so I'll be setting that up as my outgoing account.
What is Scoble smoking?
Speculation over a post-Windows OS from Microsoft sounds rational, but I don't think Robert Scoble is looking at it rationally.

Pandora CTO not hyped about Android
"I need Android like I need a hole in the head," -- Pandora CTO Tom Conrad, speaking about Google's open source mobile OS. Admittedly, a person does need a few holes in the head, like a mouth, but I don't think that's what he meant.

Cuil is uncool to Sumocat
There's a new search engine with the audacity to be named Cuil. As you can guess from this screenshot, it doesn't look that "cool" to me.

McCain can't catch a break
John McCain, presidential candidate in favor of offshore oil drilling, cancelled a trip to Louisiana because it's hard to drum up support for offshore oil drilling at the site of an oil spill.
Don't tell someone they need schooling...
...when you're the one who can't back up your points. Some fool called me out on HuffPost. I have citations, quotes, and scientific facts on my side. He doesn't. Judge for yourself whose kung fu is stronger.

Let the kkk wake you up.
Yes, now you can be woken up through your browser by the kkk -- Kuku Klok. I don't need to be sleeping with a white woman (but I do every night) to know that's not the best name.

funny but sad flashback
June 28, 2000 New York Times: "Gov. George W. Bush of Texas said today that if he was president, he would bring down gasoline prices through sheer force of personality, by creating enough political good will with oil-producing nations that they would increase their supply of crude."
OneNote by email twice in one day?
I've lived my whole Tablet PC life without anyone sending me or mentioning sending me OneNote files by email. Today, I got the latter followed by the former from two different people in totally unrelated contexts. It's as if I didn't believe the mention and then got proof it could be done. Weird.
Nokia needs better marketing
Pity poor Nokia. They've had a handheld Internet tablet in the market for years, yet the community is still looking forward to Intel's Mobile Internet Devices and has gotten stirred up by Mike Arrington's proposal for a "web tablet" that pretty much describes Nokia's.

Sad news
Sadly, Susan's mom passed away this weekend. My condolences go out to Susan and her family.
Obama nails the drawdown timetable
For all the accusations that Obama doesn't know foreign policy, the man never seems to get it wrong. It's official: the Iraqi government hopes U.S. troops can withdraw from Iraq in 2010, well within Obama's 16-month proposal. It's almost as if the man is already calling the shots.
