Happy Polar Vortex!

How I welcomed the New Year

Made a fine-ass vegan pizza with spinach, mushroom, and Daiya mozzarella.

Red Lantern Sheldon Cooper

Or me in real life. Not sure which I'm going as for Halloween but they're kinda interchangeable.

Food trucks at 2013 @DCVegfest

Food trucks are a welcomed addition to DC Vegfest this year. Woodlands Vegan Bistro, The Randy Radish, Everlasting Life, and BONMi.

First meal at 2013 @DCVegfest

Black bean "crab cake" sandwich and chicken fried "steak" with kale and mac & "cheese".

My first bite at 2013 @DCVegfest

Chocolate chip pumpkin vegan cheesecake on a stick. So worth the wait in line.

All systems go for #DCVegfest

Starbucks in one hand, iPhone in the other, and Contour Roam2 on my shoulder.

My doctor has good judgment (in PCs)

At a doctor’s appointment and noticed my doc upgraded his notebook to an HP Elitebook 2760p. Used it in notebook mode the entire visit, but felt reassured by our shared good judgment in computer equipment.

I have so few reasons to wear this shirt.

Waiting to see Herr Metal at Herndon Friday Night Live.

Spycam'd Dennis Kucinich at Poplar Spring

Tanya walked right past them, but I recognized the unmistakable couple.

If I had to lose my superpowers...

...sandwiched between two Rogues is pretty much the best way to go.

This is random

Guy with two smartphones

One for talking, other for reading. Outside a Google office.

Saw this woman U-turn in the intersection...

...to park illegally.

I see a big salad in my future.

Maybe a couple.

Bought a new Motherbored (not a typo)

Assume "bored" refers to holes drilled as there's nothing boring about this piece of jewelry.

I suppose that does belong in the "toy" section...

Only at Target.

FLASHBACK: iPad: Why I won't get one

“I think the iPad will prove quite popular…” – Boom.

“…as users demand more from their tablets, the innate human instinct to use tools may yet drive the mainstream back to picking up pens.” – Getting there.

FLASHBACK: iPad: Why I should get one

Not only do my points still stand, but they’re even more correct three years later. Multi-touch gestures and split keyboard further distinguish the interface. App support is monstrous. Smart Cover is closer to my wedge design. iPad is now the only home computer my wife uses. Contrast that to these losers.
