FLASHBACK: iPad: Why I won't get one

FLASHBACK: iPad: Why I should get one

Not only do my points still stand, but they’re even more correct three years later. Multi-touch gestures and split keyboard further distinguish the interface. App support is monstrous. Smart Cover is closer to my wedge design. iPad is now the only home computer my wife uses. Contrast that to these losers.

Macadamia Milkshake

Actually a smoothie made with macadamia nut, coconut milk and other stuff. Tasted like a liquid macadamia nut. Yum.

Prediction: Back-to-school 2013 will be Chromebook crazy

I'm calling it: PC vendors, backed by a Google ad blitz, will hit this year's back-to-school season hard with Chromebooks for all budgets.

"a different idea for what we're going to see from Apple in 2013"

Happened upon this post on The Verge forums. Bartosz Misiak thinks the iPad line could split four ways by size and display: iPad, iPad with Retina Display, iPad mini, and iPad mini w/RD. Different from what most expect, but I’d been wondering the same since Apple dropped the 3rd gen iPad w/RD but kept the non-RD iPad 2.

"make things happen"

Just like we had to make things happen on netbooks, we’ve got to make things happen with Windows 7 on slates” – Steve Ballmer, 2010

Today, netbooks are dead, Microsoft did nothing with Windows 7 on slates, and they aren’t doing much better with Windows 8.

Cereal makers just aren't trying anymore.

I guess it's no worse that cookies or marshmallows in cereal, but still...
