Android Central spotted gift cards for Google Play. Here’s what I said about gift cards for Android Market in December 2010. Not a complete implementation of my strategy, but they did address the more visible and easier to fix problem of branding before releasing cards.

Predicted Apple might offer email addresses for iPod touch users’ FaceTime accounts (now available through iCloud), that they’d need to offer carriers a concession for FaceTime over mobile (looking to be the case), and that non-iPhone iOS devices would get a separate icon for FaceTime calls. In fairness though, this was all after I said “no FaceTime on iPod touch” (but for reasons that still stand).
